Eravikulam National Park
The most fascinating destination where you are sure to have an encounter with the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. This park is a home to the largest population of Nilgiri Tahr in the world. Its landscape is very picturesque adding more adventure to a visit to this park. It covers an area of 97 sq km and is best visited from September to February. It also has a variety of other wildlife including birds. The other main attractions are the Atlas Moth(the largest moth in the world) and the Anamudi peak,the highest peak of South India.
Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary
It is a birds paradise where you will be greeted with colorful birds. It is located in Kottayam district on the banks of Vembanad Lake. It is ideally set amidst mesmerizing backwaters offering a great experience to visitors. From resident to migratory you will get to see a variety of birds here.
Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary
A home to a wide variety of fauna,this sanctuary is beautifully located on the banks of the Periyar Lake in the Cardamom Hills of the Western Ghats in Thekkady.

Idukki Wildlife Sanctuary
